Findorff's Response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Wisconsin State Capitol

Madison, WI

In September 2009, Findorff started reconstructive work to repair and restore Wisconsin’s Landmark Capitol dome. This special restoration project involved the placement of a dehumidifier below the building’s granite dome to prevent moisture buildup.

Findorff also restored the building’s exterior. This included:

  • Replacing the sealant and mortar joints
  • Repairing stone cracks and other defects on the dome, balustrade and lantern
  • Additional tuck-pointing, caulking, and interior painting
