Chazen Museum of Art
Findorff constructed an 81,000-square-foot addition to the Chazen Museum of Art that nearly doubled gallery space for the permanent collection and temporary exhibitions. The expansion was a component of the University of Wisconsin’s East Campus Development Plan which called for the creation of a contemporary and technologically advanced arts and humanities district. The intent of this project was to expand gallery and support space to fulfill the University’s mission of education, research and outreach in the arts.
Components of the addition included:
- New object study rooms
- Storage for artwork
- A 160-seat auditorium for lectures and films
- A larger Museum Shop
