As the new home for the Wisconsin Youth Symphony Orchestras (WYSO), the state-of-the-art facility will accommodate rehearsal space for youth orchestras and ensembles of all sizes, studio teaching spaces for area musicians, administrative offices, a music library, and room for ongoing program growth.
Findorff performed reconstructive work to repair and restore Wisconsin’s landmark Capitol Dome. This special restoration project involved the placement of a dehumidifier below the building’s granite dome to prevent moisture buildup. Findorff also restored the exterior, replacing the sealant and mortar joints, repairing stone cracks and defects on the dome, while adding tuck-pointing, caulking, and interior painting.
This vertical two-story addition for the Wisconsin Institute for Medical Research supports the UW-Madison program for Precision Medicine and Human Genomics. This space consists of wet laboratories, offices, support space for medical research, clinical activities in human genomics, and the development and delivery of precision medicine to the community.
Findorff constructed the Wisconsin Institute for Discovery facility located in the heart of the University of Wisconsin–Madison campus. This unique facility includes research labs configured to meet wet or dry research needs, indoor winter gardens, and a town center with public gathering spaces, cafes, and restaurants. Upon its completion, it earned LEED® Gold Certification.
Vascugen, located within the University Research Park, built a cleanroom Good Manufacturing Practice (CGMP) cell therapy manufacturing space for regenerative medicine, intended to manufacture Induced Pluripotent Stem Cells (iPSC). Stainless steel, movable surfaces and epoxy flooring exist throughout the ISO Class 7 facility, along with cleanable lighting and fixtures, room pressurization, and air locks to ensure optimal safety conditions within the facility.
The UW Health Rehabilitation Clinic provides services to those recovering from acute injuries, impairments, or illnesses. It consists of 50 patient rooms, a kitchen and servery, physical therapy gym, multiple mental and specialized therapy rooms, and staff support areas.
As the first LEED® Gold Certified Healthcare project (v3) in the State of Wisconsin, the UW Health East Madison Hospital is home to 14 operating rooms, a cardiology clinic, a Universal Care Center, and multiple dedicated spaces to physical therapy and occupational therapy.
Since completing UW Health’s original construction in 1970, Findorff has worked on hundreds of UW Health projects. These include the construction and renovation of the emergency department, MRI replacements, and hybrid operating rooms. More unique facilities include Angio suites, a heliport, rooftop healing gardens, and radiology renovations.

Findorff provided construction services for this religious gathering space and lecture hall on East Campus Mall of the UW-Madison campus. The facility was renovated from an existing cafeteria on the second floor of University Square into a multi-use space for student use. This is now a large venue capable of hosting anything from a concert to a retreat for a church youth group.
University Square, located in the heart of the University of Wisconsin – Madison campus, includes 350 residential units, a sustainable green roof, and 420 underground parking stalls. The base of the building features retail space, and the upper levels include the Lucky Apartments for student housing and office space for the University.
