As 2014 comes to a close, it is time for us to reflect upon the year and look ahead to what will surely be an exciting next 12 months for Findorff. As we enter our 125th year in successful operations, we share the same optimism as others in our industry that 2015 will be a very busy year. What a thrill these past months have been! Recently, Findorff was awarded planning and construction management work for DeForest, Oregon and Waunakee school districts. Findorff has been a proud member of the Wisconsin Green Building Alliance (WGBA) since 2002. The organization’s mission to promote ecologically sustainable practices within the built environment is an initiative that we support and practice within our own organization. Sustainable building is a vital part of our community, and Findorff contributes to this initiative by making it a regular practice to improve the communities where we live, work, and play wherever possible.

Lincoln Elementary School’s Outdoor Learning Pavilion is a structure for the students and families of Lincoln Elementary School, our Burr Oaks neighbors, and the larger South Madison community. This project started because of the dreams and work of 30 fourth graders four years ago. They wanted to make a space for community gardeners, staff and students to gather and learn. With the help and support of their teachers, their principal, architect Jessica Klehr of Madison College, and the Burr Oaks Neighborhood Association their dreams became a well-researched plan.
