LaBahn Arena

Madison, WI

Providing a home for hockey, the LaBahn Arena is a 120,000-square-foot complex designed to provide the best possible experience for the University of Wisconsin-Madison student athletes; both on and off the ice.

The facility has an underground walkway connection to the Kohl Center and serves as the home for the women’s hockey program and the practice facility for the men’s hockey team. The arena houses team locker rooms for hockey and swim teams, lounges and team meeting spaces, a full sized 90’ by 200’ ice rink, Bucky’s locker room, suites and press accommodations, and much more. In addition, there is a connecting skywalk to the Southeast Recreations Facility (SERF).

Adding to the innovation of this facility, Findorff incorporated Bubbledeck (the first-time ever used in the U.S.) for the concrete, which reduced overall costs, saved two days of construction and used 30% less concrete than traditional methods.

LaBahn Arena received Silver LEED certification by the Green Building Institute.
