ProHealth Care Central Utility Plant

Waukesha, WI

This new 15,500-square-foot Central Utility Plant serves Waukesha Memorial Hospital (WMH). The project included an addition to the south side of WMH and consisted of a multi-level concrete structure, with a brick and metal panel exterior.

The project’s scope involved rerouting an existing road and corresponding utilities, new generators and chillers, as well as a new loading dock for the Plant. Additionally, Findorff upgraded both the chilled water and emergency power system to the hospital, allowing for better cooling and an updated electrical system with the capacity for the current hospital and beyond. The new Plant enhanced the existing hospital’s generator capacity from three megawatts to 7.5 megawatts. That is enough additional energy to power over 3,000 average households!
