Meriter Hospital Atrium Expansion

Madison, WI

Findorff was selected by Meriter to construct a six story vertical expansion over the hospital’s existing five story atrium, in addition to a one story expansion on top of the hospital’s existing ten story tower.

Designed by HGA-Minneapolis, this project is the second largest addition in the history of the Meriter campus. Other notable aspects of the project included the use of special equipment, such as a movable tower crane that allowed the hospital’s helipad to stay open and in full operation during construction.

As always, Findorff’s commitment to safety was of the utmost importance. Strategic planning and open communications allowed crews to continue to take extra precautions to ensure all hospital operations remained unaffected by the construction.
