Madison Country Day School
Totaling nearly 22,000 square feet, this new three-story addition to Madison Country Day School created a number of new learning spaces. Fourteen new classrooms were added to the School. A dedicated STEAM wing was also constructed, spanning from the original facility into the new addition and is dedicated to science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics studies. The top floor of the new construction features humanities and world language studies, with classes for English, history, Spanish and Japanese instruction. Moreover, the bottom floor includes a new performing arts wing, complete with choir, orchestra, band and practice rooms, along with a recording studio. A new student services center, college advising center, and outdoor learning space were also part of the project’s scope.
Additionally, about 7,600 square feet of the existing facility was renovated to include a new science lab, as well as a lower library with a makerspace design lab. An existing art room was also converted into a new physical education classroom. The project was completed on time for the first day of the 2016-2017 school year.
