Madison Children’s Museum
Findorff constructed the new Madison Children’s Museum in a renovated 80-year-old, former Montgomery Ward’s Department store building on Madison’s Capitol Square. The interior features large open exhibit spaces, creative interior finishes and a 3-story atrium. The rooftop is highlighted by an outdoor roof garden providing wonderful views and unique attractions.
The exterior façade recaptures its original character and architecture by bringing back storefront glazing, a grand flatiron entrance and restored masonry. The building also incorporates the addition of a new stair tower, new elevators and completely new MEP systems.
