Genesis Medical Center
Findorff has been selected as the construction manager for an $95 million expansion for Genesis Health System. Findorff is partnering with a local firm, Estes Construction, and the project will be a joint venture under the name Findorff-Estes.
Genesis Health System did not want a bigger medical facility, instead they wanted a facility that improved patient safety, quality and service, the use of technology and innovation for excellent patient outcomes, and efficient delivery of care. The end result will improve the quality and service to the community, with state-of-the-art operating rooms and other inpatient services, as well as bring more operational efficiencies to Genesis Medical Center.
Construction includes 203,000 square feet of expanded space within a new seven-story tower at Genesis Medical Center, East Rusholme Street. Additionally, 115,000 square feet of renovations will relocate existing departments to create space for the new tower. Twelve new surgical suites and three new floors of inpatient beds will account for a total of 64 beds, as well as additional space for 32 beds in the future and an expanded emergency department.
